Lots of mistakes......

So my DD took a class last year in high school. Child & Family blah blah something. Should have known this would be trouble.
This is my creative organized child with just a tad of OCD.
Result?
A really responsible, yet sometimes slightly annoying girl ...eh, but ya' know.. That combo kinda works :D
So, uh, she said I really like this class. I have learned a bunch of things....and , stops mid sentence and says "You have done a lot of things wrong as a parent."

Naw...Really? .... "Dear; that's a given, but thank you for sharing."
What else can you do...? Feign surprise? "Who me?" Please! I had to bite my lip as I tried not to laugh uncontrollably. Cause you know once you start thinking of all the things you have done your not going to be able to stop for a while and then the tears start rolling down your face and please, please don't let a snort sneak in there cause you know it gets you revved up again....

Oh Boy! I have managed to make alot of errors, but I think I have managed not to pass "the curse" along.... You know the big one we all got as kids.... When one day your mother was at her limit and said rather loudly.... "I hope one day you get a child that is twice as stubborn as you!" In fact if I remember correctly, it was said on several occasions...
Ummmm. yeah Mom? about that..... those were some mighty strong words. Knowing my mother I reckon it was probably said as a prayer. My Mom musta had a direct line to heaven... with God on speed dial....

So Moms... Does it stack? I mean do you get stubborn to the 7th power? I hope not! I'm not so good at math.


Mistakes?.... Lots of 'em. Today? Yep, plenty. They ain't gonna be the last either.

Ok..... this is sooo not fair. I'm an ok height.... now width? Umm let's save that for later. 5'8 - decent.

Didn't ever think I would feel short.....

till my baby walked up between the neighbor & I while we were chattin'. She looks right at him, and said " Well, now your taller then me! And I'm 5'8." I do a double take.....Yep, here he grows again!

How, can I give him "the eyebrow"? I just don't think it is gonna be as effective when he is looking down at me... Good Gracious.... we havent even made it to 8th grade yet...

Maybe I can try stilts...So not gonna work - I think that one defies the laws of physics... or Tom Cruise style wedges..nah. I'd turn an ankle.

Housework for Home Work

Doing housework.... and more housework....the list is long. and; I have to get it done in spite of this incredible headache....

Forget the superbowl.... I don't think I could handle the volume today....no, thanks. The excedrin isn't doing more then taking the edge off it... it... the headache.... but me? still edgy...

I have to get this done as I have more work starting this week at home.... as I sit here I am remembering I am lucky to be able to do Customer Service work at home in the afternoon and evenings.... in my jammies if I so wish :D I smile while mentally picturing gestures from the kids as they try to silently communicate while I am taking calls.. should be an interesting week! Back to the list!

Not having any photoshop software made it difficult, so I had to settle what I found on the web. At Free Web Page Headers I found the picture for the header. I saw this cute background at The Cutest Blog on the Block! and even figured out how to insert a line break in the coding of heading... moving the sentance around so the it wouldn't run over into the picture( no small miracle, folks - seriously. I can barely use my remote)

I am really just trying to take my mind off of the fact my DH has been out of town for awhile.... and that my friend asked me to keep tabs on her teens while she is househunting... in another country. And the neighbor's dog.... is here as they went to the deer lease too.....
So, let me know what you think.... I just had the plain old standard black background with no frills as pictured in the last post..... now I have added the background, and a fantastic photo , of a well traveled piece of concrete...

I decided that my blog is horribly not creative..... Do you have any ideas???
So as I sit dog watching and teen monitoring ( in addition to my own) this weekend while DH is at the deer lease working.. I thought I could, you know.... fiddle.....

Redirection.....

I hadn't blogged in awhile. I knew that. I didn't realize how long it had been....
You see.... I finally got one kid driving... which made an incredible difference, but that same one graduated and is a college student now..... Just for fun I am going to post a page of my schedule before hand.. It needs to be preserved for posterity.. so when I get old and rock on my porch and wish for more excitement - I can reconsider and think... HA.maybe not!

so now I run.... still..... but it is to my jobs ( of which there is more than one) to pay for tuition.... and 200.00 books.... Geez.
